The Seattle Soccer BLEVE was started in 1998 by Phil Raschke. The purpose of the Seattle Soccer BLEVE is to bring Firefighters and Law Enforcement members together to build camaraderie and raise money for charity. Over the years, the Seattle Soccer BLEVE has raised over $80,000 in support of local charities.
The Seattle Soccer BLEVE is a one day indoor soccer tournament with divisions ranging from recreational to competitive. The tournament format includes a round-robin group stage followed by single elimination knockout rounds.

The following rules amendments will be made for the tournament:
-Games will consist of two 13 minute halves with 1 minute halftime.
- There will be no female player minimum on the field for teams with females.
- Group Stage games will be score 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss.
- The tiebreakers in the group stage will in the following order: head to head, goal difference, goals for, goals against.
- If a knockout round game is tied at the end of regulation, the game will go into golden goal extra time. During extra time, the keepers will be removed from the field and a goal must be scored in front of the yellow line. A player from each team will be removed from the field every minute until there is a winner.
